Today is quite a big deal regarding the Android platform as lucky consumers in the UK can get their hands on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which brings with it the latest Android operating system. We now have news of US jealousy as the UK Galaxy Nexus price and availability are released.
Earlier today we had an un-boxing video of the new handset for you, and now we can let you know where you can get your hands on the device and for how much. The team over at Recombu has already got their hands on the device after queuing up outside a Phones 4U store in London.
If you fancy getting your hands on the handset we have some prices for you to look at. At Phones 4U the handset will cost you nothing if you agree to a two year contract with Orange at £41 per month. For £59 you can have the Galaxy Nexus on a two year Vodafone contract at £31 per month.
Both of these deals offer Phones 4U three months of free access to Wi-Fi within The Cloud network, while the Orange contract gives you 12000 minutes of talk time and 3,000 texts but only 250MB of data. The Vodafone deal provides customers with 300 minutes of talk time, 3,000 texts with 500MB of data.
There is another Orange contract available that provides 400 minutes, 3,000 texts and 750MB of date for a £59 upfront fee, and a two year contract at £31 per month. All these deals come with free 48 hour delivery as well.
Carrier Three also have the handset on offer and with the One Plan you will get all you can eat data with 2,000 minutes and 5,000 texts. This will cost you £40 per month on a two year contract with the handset free. The carrier also has the Text 500 deal that gives you 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and 1GB of data for £34 per month. For an extra £3 per month you can have the same talk time and texts but with unlimited data.
If you would like the handset on pay-as-you-go the carrier will charge you £499.99 for it with a £10 top up. For orders placed today the handset should reach you by November 22nd. Are you getting the Galaxy Nexus this week?
