We have some surprising news to bring you now, and it is definitely going to be seen as a shock for those that have just forked out $299 for the Droid RAZR on Verizon. It has been revealed that China as a Motorola Droid RAZR variant on the way, the difference with the China version though – it’s better.
Pictures of the China’s RAZR have appeared online and it suggests that the China model will get an upgraded version with a staggering 13MP camera, compared to the current model which ‘only’ features an 8MP shooter.
That’s not all either, as you know that very decent 4.3-inch qHD display screen that’s fitted on the US Droid RAZR? Well the China model is getting another hardware upgrade with a 4.5-inch HD 720p display screen instead. It sounds pretty ridiculous doesn’t it? Considering that Motorola has made one or two enemies with the treatment of the Droid Bionic, we have a feeling that one or two of you may not be too happy about this. Since China are getting a ‘HD’ version of the Droid RAZR, it is probably fairly certain that Verizon will follow suit for US consumers as well sometime during Q1. They don’t want to release it too early though unless they want to face the wrath of current RAZR owners.
What are your thoughts on this, pretty shocking are we right? If you happen to be in China over the next few months, you’ll be able to pick up their Droid RAZR variant before the end of the year, no word on pricing yet sadly. We also how wonder when Motorola will release the Droid3 to consumers, as that device has also been rumored to be coming soon as well – could this China model release as the Droid3 on Verizon?
