A few days ago we told you about rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release in the UK was set to be delayed. This followed online retailer Amazon pushing back its shipping date for the device until December. Now today we have a UK Galaxy Nexus release update for you with the news of no delays.
Samsung have decided to respond to rumors of the handset being delayed and have confirmed that the Ice Cream running handset will be coming on November 17th. Cnet are reporting the Korean manufacturer confirmed to them the date of the handset hitting UK shores.
The highly anticipated smartphone will come sporting Androids all new operating system, so Samsung will be keen to launch the device as soon as possible. There is more good news if you were planning on getting the device on the 17th as Eurodroid are reporting that Phones4U also have the handset listed for that date.
Consumers will be able to get the handset with contracts via O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone on a two year contract starting from £31 per month and a £59 upfront fee. Amazon are still listing the ship date for the device on December 2nd, so whether Samsung are only providing carriers first because of high demand for the Nexus remains to be seen.
