The official reviews for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim are now in after Bethesda has finally lifted the embargo that kept all the reviews from going public until one day before launch. As expected, review scores are very positive and we have rounded up a few of them to share with you.
Considering how good Oblivion was, it will probably be no surprise to you that Skyrim has come in for critical praise from the major gaming websites on the net. We are seeing a lot of perfect scores for the game, even coming from the likes of Eurogamer, who are often very stubborn when it comes to handing out perfect cores. Joystiq has also given the game a 5/5 calling it ‘the deepest, loveliest world ever created for a single player to explore, and one that no one should deny themselves’.

Other perfect scores have come from Destructoid, while IGN scored the game a 9.5, adding that ‘playing Skyrim is a rare kind of intensely personal, deeply rewarding experience, and one of the best role-playing games yet produced.’
We are yet to read one negative review for the game, as the lowest score we’ve seen so far for Skyrim is an 89/100 from VentureBeat. They said that ”despite a handful of notable shortcomings, more often than not it is jaw-droppingly beautiful and thoroughly satisfying to play.”
So that’s just a few of the reviews for you, we’ll provide the links below so you can have a proper read. If you have spotted any interesting reviews or any reviews that have a lower score than VentureBeat, be sure to add a link below.
How impressed are you with the review scores? Since Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 are now out, are you confident that Skyrim will now go on to win Game of the Year ahead of EA and Activision? It is going to be a close battle for sure.
