Since it was first launched last month Apple’s new operating system has mainly been well received by most users. That’s not dismissing the problems though as many complained that the battery life on their device got worse after downloading it. This led to Apple to admit to the problem and is currently working on a fix with a future update. We now have more iOS 5 secrets that come to light with an Android type autocorrect bar.
We have already told you about the hidden feature concerning Siri on the iPhone 4S, which followed the discovery of the panorama mode for Apple’s camera app. Now according to an article over at 9 To 5 Mac iOS 5 is hiding another secret. This time it comes thanks to an Android like autocorrect keyboard bar, which can be seen by clicking the link above.
This discovery could well lead to a fresh round of lawsuits, but you can easily enable it now if you so wish. First of all you need to download iBackupBot, and then backup your device via iTunes. After that is complete you use iBackupBot to discover and install the backup you have just done.
Then head into library/preferences/com.apple.keyboard.plist and open the file, after this you need to put in the following code KeyboardAutocorrectionListsYES. After this you need to save all your modifications and restore from backup from inside iBackupbot.
Obviously only do this at your own risk but the procedure looks pretty straight forward, and let us know how you get on with it.
