Last month the iPhone 4S was revealed to the world and details were given when various countries would be getting the device, except the likes of Hong Kong and China. There was some confusion surrounding the release of the device with some consumers in Hong Kong thinking it was being launched the same time as in the US and UK. Now we can bring joy to some as the iPhone 4S release date is revealed in Hong Kong and elsewhere.
It is being reported by AppleInsider that consumers in Hong Kong and South Korea, as well as 13 other countries can get their hands on the device on Friday November 11th. Other countries getting the device on that date include Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal, and Romania.
Currently the handset is available in 29 countries with over 70 having access to the iPhone 4S by the end of the year. Beginning on the 4th of November preorders will start in Hong Kong, South Korea among others. Preorders won’t be available in Albania, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malta, Montenegro, and Panama though.
The iPhone 4S has seen the quickest rollout of a new iPhone by Apple so far, and is along similar lines the company took with the launch of the iPad 2 back in March. It originally launched in Australia, US, UK, Canada, Japan, France and Germany in October. Despite being a revamped iPhone 4 the handset has proven to be highly popular, but has suffered issues with battery life.
