The Android smartphone market has been extremely busy in recent weeks with a variety of different handsets being announced or released. Today it’s the turn of the Motorola Droid 4 aka Maserati that shows its face, with some specs thrown in for good measure.
The team over at Droid Life has bagged some images of the device along with some specifications. If you like your QWERTY keyboard the Droid 4 certainly could be for you, as it is being reported by sources that it is the best slide out keyboard yet to be seen on a smartphone.
It not only has a nice slide out keyboard and thin RAZR like styling, it also will have 4G LTE compatibility. The display is thought to be a 4-inch Super AMOLED Advanced offering, with a full 5-row illuminated keyboard. The Droid 4 will reportedly come running Android 2.3.5, and will have a HDMI port.
Currently it is not known what processor will be powering the device, but it is expected to be at least the 1.2GHz OMAP4430 that is found in the upcoming RAZR. The battery is said to be non-removable, and camera wise it is set to have an eight megapixel unit that is capable of 1080p video capture as well as a front facing camera.
A few weeks ago the handset was given the codename Maserati, and there is set to be a few Droid keyboard devices released in the coming months with the Droid 4 looking almost ready. Use the link to see more images of the Droid 4.
