The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been grabbing a lot of headlines over the last few days, which has been strengthened by the fact it will come running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. We have heard various pricing for the handset in both the US and the UK. Now we have another Galaxy Nexus UK release date and price for you.

Earlier today we told you about an article which was reporting that Amazon in the UK had listed the device for a staggering £730.15, and was reported to have a release date of November 2nd at the time. My colleague Alan Ng did wonder if it was a mistake by Amazon for the pricing and release of the handset.

This now seems to be the case because if you visit Amazon’s Galaxy Nexus listing now you will find it listed for the price of £549.99 SIM free. It also has the release date down as November 17th, which has also changed from earlier.

Consumers in the US who want to get hold of the Galaxy Nexus will be out of luck if they want the device on a different carrier besides Verizon. We confirmed earlier that the Verizon sign up pages have gone live with the news the handset is exclusive to the carrier in the country.

If you are in the UK and would like to get the handset on a contract various carriers including the likes of 02 and Vodafone will be offering the device with a contract. Early reviews of the handset have also been pretty favorable. Will you be getting the Galaxy Nexus?
