PC Battlefield 3 even better with new NVIDIA GeForce 285.62 WHQL driver

By Updated on

If the thought of playing the best version of Battlefield 3 wasn’t good enough for PC owners, we have some further good news in store for you now, as it has been revealed that graphics on the PC version of the game can get even better – thanks to NVIDIA.

The graphics giant has just confirmed that they have launched a brand new set of graphics drivers, which will be instantly compatible with Battlefield 3. The new update from the previous 285.38 beta drivers have now been unleashed to the public as NVIDIA’s optimal 286.62 graphics driver, and it promises to significantly improve the performance of not only Battlefield 3, but also Batman Arkham City and RAGE as well, according to NVIDIA’s website.

Best of all, Battlefield 3 players can apparently look forward to a whopping 11% increase in overall performance with the new drivers installed when using the GeForce GTX 560 graphics card. It sounds fantastic and we can’t wait to see the results in game to see if NVIDIA’s 11% performance increase stat is accurate or not.

It’s pretty staggering that a free driver update can improve on performance so much, so for those of you that already have a GTX 560 card, you can proceed to NVIDIA’s support website here and get your download going. For those of you that do not have this card yet – what are you waiting for?

Actually, you’re probably waiting for the cash to buy the card, as prices are ranging between $450-500 upon a quick glance on Amazon – premium quality always comes at a price we guess. Recently we informed you on the graphics boost that the consoles will receive when the included HD texture pack is installed – the difference is actually pretty striking between the two so make sure you check out that article again here.

Are you looking forward to the performance increase thanks to the new NVIDIA drivers, or will you have to settle with low settings due to your current PC setup?
