Since the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was first announced many consumers have started looking forward to the device. It will come running the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system that will add a whole host of new features. We have already told you when customers in the US on Verizon should be getting the device and now in the UK the 02 Samsung Galaxy Nexus page goes live.
02’s rival carrier Vodafone has already announced they would be stocking the handset along with Three. Now the 02 page has gone live with a coming soon message indicating a November availability date. Unfortunately there is no pricing for the handset, but it can be expected to be at the higher end of the carriers devices.
We have already told you the device should cost about $300 with a two year contract on Verizon in the US. The handsets specifications did disappoint some with many wondering why it didn’t have a 1.5GHz processor, but it does have the new Android operating system.
The 02 page doesn’t give an exact release date or allow customers to sign up for new details when they become available, but at least customers of the carrier know for certain the device will be arriving. Another key feature of the device will certainly be the 4.65-inch HD AMOLED display, which many Android devices seem to be getting recently.
While iPhone users have to make do with the smaller Retina display of the device, Android fans have the nice choice of larger displays that are great especially for surfing the net or reading emails. Will you be getting the Samsung Galaxy Nexus?
