With so many impressive games scheduled for release before the year is out, it is easy to forget about some of the blockbusters which are set to arrive in early 2012, one of which is BioWare’s Mass Effect 3 – today we have finally head some information regarding the game’s demo.
Over at the BioWare forums it has been confirmed that the demo will launch sometime in January 2012 and will be available in all regions where the game will arrive, details regarding platforms have not yet been disclosed, but we would imagine it will be downloadable via Xbox Live, PSN and Origin. The demo will allow gamers to get some hands-on time with both single and multi-player elements before the game arrives on March 6, 2012.
BioWare has also said that if you buy Battlefield 3, on any platform, you will qualify for early access to the multiplayer section of the Mass Effect 3 demo, people who have pre-ordered ME3 are complaining as they think they deserve early access to this – we agree and it looks likely as part of the announcement stated this: “There will be another program whereby players and fans of the Mass Effect franchise can unlock this early access”.
We are told that the exact demo launch date will be announced in late November, where we will also find out how long the early access will last, therefore we will keep you posted as we hear more. If you check out this link you can see all of the demo related information.
Do you think pre-orders of Mass Effect 3 should make you eligible for the early access?
