The last day or so has been massive in terms of Motorola Droid RAZR news, we now know full tech specs, release date info and pricing and we know it is a lot thinner than the iPhone 4S – but up until now we were unsure as to whether this smartphone would get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – which is a big factor to many.
Motorola has now confirmed that the Motorola Droid RAZR update to ICS will arrive over-the-air in early 2012, no exact date has been given, but at least we know that it is coming to the new ultra-thin smartphone. We think that this news will enhance sales of Motorola’s new smartphone, you can see pricing information here.
You can’t really overlook the Verizon-bound Droid RAZR, not only does it have an ultra-thin design but it packs a punch thanks to its dual-core processor, 8 megapixel camera, 4.3-inch display and 1GB of RAM, for the next few months Android 2.3 Gingerbread should be adequate, but we just can’t wait to see the many enhancements that Ice Cream Sandwich will bring to this smartphone.
If you are looking to but the RAZR from Verizon we are told that it will hit the U.S. carrier in early November for $299.99, we can’t really tell you why you shouldn’t buy this smartphone, in terms of connectivity, design and multimedia capabilities there’s not a lot you can criticize, perhaps NFC would increase its appeal, but that’s just us being picky.
Will you buy the Droid RAZR? If not, what puts you off?
