With less than 24 hours until Samsung and Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich event begins we are all keen to see how the new Android version will compare to iOS 5, well a recent article posted over at AndroidPolice.com suggests that a few of the ICS features have been found in “Ice Cream Sandwich’s creamy center”.
Currently we cannot confirm whether all the following information is 100% accurate, therefore take it lightly for now and we will keep you updated as we hear more.
OK let’s get started, apparently when looking through images on your Android ICS smartphone you will have a wide-range of features available which you would expect from third-party photo editors, these include the ability to crop, rotate, straighten, sharpen, flip and fix your image(s). Other icons have been spotted which suggest that there will be buttons to reduce redeye, adjust exposure, tweak colors and undo and redo your modifications – you can see all of the icons below.
If you look closely there is one icon which we have not yet spoken about, this is named artistic and to our knowledge this will allow you to add artistic effects to your images, you can see all 19 over at AndroidPolice.com, however we have added some of our favorites below.
The entire list of 19 effects are as follows: Autofix, Cross Process, Documentary, Doodle, Duotone, Fill Light, Fisheye, Grain, Grayscale, Highlight, Lomo-ish, Negative, Posterize, Saturation, Sepia, Shadow, Temperature, Tint and Vignette.
We think that seamless integration of photo editing functionality will greatly enhance the Android experience, therefore we hope that all the above information turns out to be accurate – what other features would like to see?
