With Windows 8 expected to be released in 2012 there is huge interest to see if it will be a further improvement, or go the way of Vista? We believe that Microsoft has learned from their mistakes, and looking at the features the new OS should be a success. There are some new features being leaked that will allow you to customize and personalize the start screen.
Now this is not a huge deal, but it is the small things that mount up that could make Windows 8 a huge success. Microsoft seems to be spending a great deal of time to get the start up screen right, and they believe that by allowing users to change the look, it will give their OS a more personal feel to each individual user. However, they need to do more and by the looks of it they have.
TechRader has managed too get a few more details, and is looks as though there have been new improvements made to the apps screen, jump lists and also a better start screen for those with a larger monitor. Let’s start with the apps; they will now be organized in a much simpler way, as they will now be sorted into groups. This will make it much simpler when you need to search for an app quickly.
It does look as though Microsoft is going for a far simpler approach, and is even expected to copy a few features from Windows Phone 7 to implement on W8. It’s certainly nice to see that the new version of this software is now trying to stop the popularity of Max OS X Lion, and keeping it simple seems to be the correct approach.
