The buildup to the release of the fifth game in the series, Square Enix’s Hitman: Absolution is just beginning to heat up. Until now the details that had been revealed had been enough to simmer anticipation along, but we’re sure there will be much more to come. Today a new trailer has emerged titled ‘Run For Your Life.’

The video, which can be viewed below, is full of juicy content being 16 minutes long. It throws viewers straight into the action during a cut scene that finds Agent 47 in a threatening situation. He is being tracked down by the police and for some reason is unarmed; his only option is to take refuge in a nearby abandoned library. Check it out for yourself below to discover how he manages to get himself out of this compromising situation.

An article we brought our readers back in June revealed that a lot has changed in five years. The game will be set in Chicago and will be running IO Interactive’s Glacier 2 engine, which promises to offer real-time AI and authentic facial expressions. The hardcore fans of the Hitman franchise will also be excited to know that the developers have included a special hardcore mode that relies on players to use stealth more strictly in order to progress, as well have having a slimmer chance of survival when being shot at.

As Gaming Examiner explains there will also be a new feature known as Instinct mode. This function will allow Agent 47 to anticipate enemies’ patrols and actions and will also allow him to highlight enemies through walls. A new voice actor plays the part of 47 and the game’s amazing art direction and animation is sure to impress both fans of the game and new comers. Are you looking forward to the new Hitman game?
