While playing Uncharted 3 beta you will get the urge to use the L1 button to aim at a target, just as you do in many other games. However, you are advised not to, as not aiming rewards you with more kills. So if you want to progress in the game, then blind (hip) firing is the way to go. The only problem is that this will be great for those who are used to playing Uncharted, but will become an issue if you are new to the franchise.
The most important buttons to use is Square and R1; if you watch the video below you will never aim again. If you don’t believe us, just watch, you will see just what we mean. There are those that say that Naughty Dog has spoiled the multiplayer aspect of the game when compared to previous versions, but that is a debate that’s ongoing.

Some of our readers have been joining in with the debate about Uncharted 3 beta; the first is that the developer has made the game far too easy with just the use of two buttons used most of the time. The problem with progressing much better in the game without aiming will force us all to play a certain one – that’s not how a game should be.
One reader has even suggested that Naughty Dog should spend some time with Epic, as they will show them how to develop a multiplayer game. It seems that people are forgetting the fact that this game is still in beta (just like Battlefield 3) and is prone to a few issues. Maybe we should be more critical if these issues are still present in the full public release at the start of November?
Do you fire from the hip or do you aim?
