Tweaks wanted for HTC EVO 3D by consumers

By Updated on

Having never bought into the 3D gimmick, I do find it hard to wonder why people get excited over this technology coming to handsets? Having seen first hand a 3D smartphone I can see the benefits, but the negatives more than outweighs the positives. It’s for this reason why consumers have been sharing what tweaks they feel the HTC EVO 3D needs – although not many seems to be moaning about the visual gimmick.

We cannot say for certain if 3D will be a long-term feature on phones, and movies, but it’s here to stay for now. However, we do believe that holographic technology will one day be the ultimate. There are a number of 3D smartphones on the market, and for some the EVO 3D was the best offering, but the jury is still out on that one. The reason we say this is because consumer have felt let down by HTC again due to poor battery life and other such issues.

Some of our readers have been asking if HTC could do away with 3D and just make it 2D; they could but this would just make it like some of their other handsets on the market. The placement of the fixed controls is another issue, as users have complained about hitting them by accident, which as you know will become a bit of a nuisance.

Some people have said that the battery life is not as bad as it has been made out, I guess we have to except that there will be a trade-off when you consider that two lenses are in use when taking an image. The one thing that will help you save power massively is to turn 4G off when not in use. Only switch it on when it’s needed.

There are a few tweaks that would have benefitted the EVO 3D, and that’s a dual front-facing camera, stereo speakers with more power, fix the range of security issues (which HTC is now doing), larger screen to appreciate 3D, as well as an improved screen.

These are just a handful of things that needs to be improved on the EVO 3D, so let’s see what HTC offers us if and when they release a second-edition.
