Battlefield 3 cheats will be banned from beta

The complaints regarding Battlefield 3 beta has not all been about glitches, cheaters have been high on the list as well. EA DICE knows that this has been of great annoyance to those who have wanted to play the game to get a true feel for it, but certain individuals aim to spoil that. However, it looks as though cheats will be banned from the public release.

The reason why these cheaters are mocking the game is due to the fact that BF3 beta has no anti-cheating countermeasures, as Gameranx puts it. Thankfully Punkbuster will be enabled, so cheaters take this as your final notice, you are no longer wanted. DICE said that they only disabled the security measure just to see what players would do in the beta, well you got your answer, they acted like kids.

For the most part, no one likes cheaters, as they spoil the experience for the true fans of Battlefield 3 or any other game come to that matter. At least DICE now has a good idea of what they need to stop – now what will you lot do with your time? If you suspect someone of cheating, then you are asked to lodge a complaint; gamers should give those that have cheated the system their Battlelog usernames.

It certainly is nice to know that DICE aims to take a tough stance on this kind of behavior, but let’s face it, this kind of thing has been going on for years and is never likely to be fully stamped out. This weekend will be a fun time for those playing Battlefield 3 Beta on the PC, as they can now run around in the Caspian map. There has been an ongoing debate that the PC version has much better graphics, so you will be pleased to know that the Xbox 360 and the PS3 will benefit from an install pack upon release that will greatly enhance textures, more on this here.
