Unless you have been living under a rock the past few days, you will have heard that Apple’s new iPhone 4S got announced at the Lets Talk iPhone event on Tuesday. As a reminder for those that do know the device is set for release October 14th and today marks the start of the pre-orders for the handset in the UK. To help you decide where the best place to purchase your iPhone 4S is, we have decided to bring you a roundup of the places you can get it that we know of so far.
First of all both O2 and Orange are currently only offering the chance to sign up with them in order to be the first to know details about the iPhone 4S. The Orange signing up page also offers a glimpse at the price plans for the device, which suggest a minimum contract length of two years. Click the link above and see the breakdown for yourself.
Vodafone have begun pre-orders, offering customers £59 back when they order the iPhone 4S with them today as a thank you. Their most value for money offer gets you the device for free on a two year contract for £46 per month. This includes 1200 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data every month. It doesn’t look like they are offering to sell the smartphone contract free.
T-Mobile are also taking orders today offering the iPhone 4S for free on a two year contract but for £45.96 per month. Although this deal is cheaper than Vodafone it does not offer as much as you will only get 1200 minutes, 500 texts and 750MB of data every month. Again it doesn’t look as though it can be purchased outright.
If buying the iPhone 4S outright is what you prefer doing then you can definitely do so at the online Apple store. The handsets begin at £499 for the 16GB versions. There is no word on Three offering the device as of yet. When we know more we will be sure to update you.
