PC gamers have been enjoying Stronghold games for 10 years now, however it has been a long time since a shiny new game arrived, today we can finally confirm Stronghold 3’s release date and you will be glad to hear that there’s not long to wait.
The last time we spoke about this game was back in March when we suggest that a later summer release was scheduled, however the lead designer at Firefly Studios, Simon Bradbury, has now confirmed that the game will arrive on 25th October – as we have seen previously this game is only available for PC.
Bradbury thanked gamers for their patience and promoted the game by saying that it boasts the best bits from previous titles, whilst adding some all-new features such as night time sieges. Also the graphics should be much better than before thanks to a “cutting edge graphics engine”. Check out EuroGamer for some additional details.
The game will be available via Steam and other digital download services, also a boxed version of the game will be available in stores, if you pre-order the game from Steam you get the first Stronghold for free – this is not much of an incentive in our opinion, but here’s the Steam link anyway, below we have added the game’s minimum system requirements:
OS: Windows® XP (with Service Pack 3) or Windows Vista® (with Service Pack 2) or Windows® 7
Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD® Athlon™ 64 3000+ or higher
