Crystal Palace F.C. are an English Football league club based in South Norwood, London. The team plays its home matches at Selhurst Park, where they have been based since 1924. The club currently competes in the second tier of English Football, The Championship. Workers at The Crystal Palace formed Crystal Palace in 1905. The club reached the top division of English Football in 1969–70, and their first major final was in 1990. They were relegated from the top division in 1973 and once again in the following season. Crystal Palace’s main rival is Brighton & Hove Albion, though they also share rivalries with fellow South London teams Millwall and Charlton Athletic.
