Later today we will be having the special press event Apple has called to “Let’s talk iPhone”, and while it is widely thought it is to announce the iPhone 5 it is not guaranteed. There has been various reports that there will be two handsets announced with the iPhone 4S being the more affordable option. We now have what could be the iPhone 4S pricing ahead of release.
The iPhone 4S is thought to be coming in three storage options, and an article on 9To5Mac is reporting that a source has told them that the 64GB iPhone 4S will replace the iPhone 4 32GB. This will mean the price of the 64GB iPhone 4S could be around $299 in the US. It is also being claimed that the iPhone 4S 32GB will be at the price level of the iPhone 4 16GB at $199.
Meanwhile the entry level 16GB version will come in at $99, and the rumored 8GB version of the iPhone 4 is thought to cost around $49. The release date for the new handsets is again rumored to be on October 14th, with stores opening at 7 a.m. local time and staying open until midnight.
The iPhone 4S is believed to be a revamped version of the current model with the A5 processor and improved camera, and there were rumors before that the iPhone 4S was going to be the only new model this year. If there is no all new model revealed later today there will be some disappointed Apple fans. We have even heard rumors that Sprint could be getting the iPhone 5 as an exclusive until early next year.
