Before the Apple iPhone event began earlier we told you that the Japanese Apple website had given the release date for the expected iPhone 4S. Now we can tell you that the iPhone 4S has been confirmed by Apple and Sprint are going to get a taste too.
The redesigned iPhone 4S has as thought got the A5 processor inside alongside a new dual-core processor, which according to Engadget will boost graphics performance by seven times. You will still find the same Retina display that is found on the iPhone 4, and the antenna has been enhanced so it will automatically switch between two different ones to prevent dropped calls.
As reported before it has dual mode CDMA and GSM radios that will allow owners to roam around the world. It will continue to have a glass back as with the iPhone 4, and you will also find a new camera that has eight megapixels. Users will now be able to record full HD 1080p video, which also has a new signal processor for image stabilization. Apple has said the new camera is also faster than the older version found on the iPhone 4.
Preorders begin on October 7th with release in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany and Japan on the 14th, other countries get it on the 28th. In the US it will be releasing on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. This will be great news for the many Sprint customers who have so far not been able to get the device from the carrier. We will be going into more detail about the specs of the new iPhone later.
