Rumors surrounding the new iPhone have gone into overdrive since Apple announced that they would be holding a special event tomorrow. We still do not know for certain the specs, design or even the name – much the same as every year – but there are further clues that there could be an iPhone 4S, which we detailed earlier.
More details have now come to light regarding this smartphone, which we expect to be released alongside the iPhone 5. However, we now have to wonder if this will be the only model unveiled by Tim Cook tomorrow? We say this because the Vodafone Germany website has leaked details to do with accessories for what they are calling the iPhone 4S.
iPhone-Ticker.de shows that there are three storage options, a 16GB, 32GB and a 32GB. Now we do not claim to know much on this issue, but one would not expect Apple to launch a low-cost iPhone and give it a storage capacity of double what we have with the current version. That’s not all though, it shows that the iPhone 4 will now have a reduced storage capacity to just 8GB, which would mean that this could now be the low-cost version.
If this turns out to be true, then you have to wonder what Apple have been up to since last year. How can they fob us off with a 4S model and not the 5; it’s as if they want to upset their customers and give them any excuse to jump ship and move over to Android? This would mean that all the rumors of a minor upgrade could well be true, and the heated debates that I have had with a friend will now come back to haughty me.
If Apple only launches an iPhone 4S tomorrow will you feel cheated, and could rivals finally start to make an impact?
