Earlier on we informed you that there was a secret alternative multiplayer map to be accessed on the PC beta for Battlefield 3. The map in question though, Caspian Border desires a password though so your chances of getting to play it are very slim.
With this in mind, we have something special to show you in the form of a gameplay video that has been taken from the exclusive map – perfect for those who are unable to access this map on PC, but want to see what all the fuss is about.
This isn’t no ordinary video though, as its around 50 minutes of pure non stop footage from the Caspian Border, available to view in 1080p HD video below if your computer can handle it. Just for those who are unaware, Caspian Border is the map which features jets, tanks and buggys and is certainly a lot more enjoyable than Operation Metro, the only map which DICE has locked down for the beta on all three platforms.
Aside from the graphics looking beautiful on PC, it is very impressive to see a 64-player conquest battle run so smoothly without any apparent problems. Considering that this map wasn’t even meant to be included in the beta, it still plays very well and we’re guessing it will be improved on even further by the time the full game releases on October 25th.
We strongly advise you to sit back and enjoy this video in its entirety – it’s not often you get 50 minutes of unreleased material in HD and the good news is it doesn’t look like EA are taking videos down any more.
Obviously there has been a few criticisms on the graphics quality for console, but these videos alone does prove that PC is the best version of Battlefield 3 to own no matter how you look at it. Take a look at the footage below, and give us your thoughts on it.
The open beta is now available to everyone of course, so are you loving the beta or not? Where does Battlefield 3 rank compared to Bad Company 2?
