You have to admire how some third-party phone accessory makers are able to begin offering details on new products for a device that has yet to hit the market. This has been happening for years, but in most cases these manufactures and online stores know the basic design. So imagine our surprise when we came across possible accessories for the Nexus Prime ahead of any sort of release details.
Looking over the accessories that one website has, you have to laugh really. They are not those that you would be able to get an idea as to the design of the new rumored Android handset from Samsung, just those that are general. The products include chargers, transfer cables, battery boosters, waterproof case etc. Not even the last accessory gives anything away, as it is too much of a general design, as it is just a waterproof bag after all.
What we do not have is those more specific products, such as cases; charging docks, screen protectors etc. However, we do expect to see them start to appear very soon, as the Nexus Prime is rumored to make a showing at CTIA 2011, with a release date of late October or early November. However, we might be lucky and see at least one or two cases appear that will give us some idea as to what the Prime will look like, much like we have seen with the iPhone 5/4S.
If you do see a website that offers Nexus Prime accessories, then you should be careful. Just remember that the phone does not yet exist, even though someone has been rumored to have handled the new smartphone. We just would not like the thought of you wasting your money on something that is not made for the Prime. That’s not saying that there are not some out there ready to hit the market, they just need to wait for the official release details from either Google or Samsung.
