Battlefield 3 beta key confusion for Medal of Honor LE buyers

Lately we have noticed a lot of interest surrounding Battlefield 3 beta access, well if any of you bought the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor last year, like us, you know that you gained a beta invitation for Battlefield 3 with your purchase, however we are still a little annoyed at the lack of information EA has given us regarding this beta access.

If you read the back of the Medal of Honor Limited case, or the leaflet which is in the box you will clearly see that people who purchased Medal of Honor Limited edition will get beta access to Battlefield 3 within 12 months of Medal of Honor’s release – well the game was released on October 12 in North America and it is September 20 today, this must mean that Limited Edition buyers will find out something within 22 days. (Below we have embedded an image showing the message we are talking about).

Now that isn’t all that confusing, however the message below clearly says “Visit www.ea.com/beta for details”, obviously last year when Medal of Honor came out we knew that there wouldn’t be much information at this address, but still almost a year later the ea.com/beta page leaves us with more questions than answers. All it says is the following:

Beta Details

Beta offer is contingent on Beta availability within 12 months of Medal of Honor release. Beta will be available for a limited time only and offer expires upon close of Beta events. Participation in Beta requires acceptance of Beta Agreement. Must be 18+. Xbox GOLD membership required for Xbox users. Check this site for further details when available.

As you can see 11 months down the line nothing has changes and the end part “Check this site for further details when available” is vague to say the least, are we meant to keep checking daily? Will we receive a message via Xbox Live / PSN when the beta information has been updated on this site? Your guess is as good as ours! We also loaded up Medal of Honor to see if there were any Battlefield 3 beta-related messages splashed on the game’s menu screen, we couldn’t spot anything.

Now we are not being pedantic, we don’t want dates and times etc (well we do, but that is not what we are complaining about), we just don’t know why EA can’t give Medal of Honor Limited Edition a bit of reassurance by saying something similar to “Medal of Honor Limited Edition owners fear not, Battlefield 3 beta access is coming”, this would surely clear up lots of speculation / confusion.

Hmmm got the invite via email got in subscribe but no news about the beta link… nothing and the game due out around Oct 25 … I think we’ve been sucked in on that one… if so not buying the game … and surely go with MW3

call of duty 4 was great. dont get me wrong. but mw3 will not hold up against bf3. mw3 is a pretty version of cod4

pretty would be stretching it. Try playing youtube videos of MW2 and MW3 footage side-by-side, and please tell me what differences you notice. I did that, and I was quite shocked at how literally identical the two games look. Seriously, they effin identical…

How will they know who purchased MOH? And it seems like they would have put the beta keys in the MOH games!!!
