We have further good news for those planning to pick up Modern Warfare 3 this November, especially if you experienced the multiplayer problems with Modern Warfare 2 at first hand. Infinity Ward has just confirmed that MW3 will feature a new system in which it will be possible to deliver updates to the game more quickly.
Robert Bowling, the community manager for Infinity Ward has stated in a recent interview the changes they have made from Modern Warfare 2 with regards to updates after the game had released – which obviously were pretty long winding for MW2 players. Here is the statement as reported from AttackoftheFanboy.

“How we’ve built the game this time as opposed to in the past is we’ve made it a lot easier on the back end to update the other aspects of the game beyond just map packs…”
You could probably interpret that statement as saying they knew they messed up with Modern Warfare 2 and how easy it was for hackers to find game crippling exploits and glitches on multiplayer. However, change is always pleasing so let’s hope Modern Warfare 3 is a fresh start with regards to Call of Duty hacking and this new update system from Infinity Ward will turn out to be a success.
Obviously it’s too early to say whether Modern Warfare 3 will be unhackable, actually the statement from Bowling above could also be read along the lines that Infinity Ward are actually EXPECTING hacking to take place, which again is worrying if you look at it that way.
What are your thoughts on this – do you think Modern Warfare 3 will be unhackable or will the same tactics take place on multiplayer despite this new system in place. How quick will Infinity Ward manage to fix exploits and glitches – within a day? It is going to be interesting to see how their new system works exactly, so we’ll let you know when we have more details on this for you.
