IFA 2011 conference Berlin: Tech review

As some of you may be aware, there has been a consumer electronics show taking place in Berlin, Germany the past few days called IFA 2011. It is a global trade show that allows those who attend to see the latest products and home appliances from the most important market in Europe. Each year the event has gotten bigger and record attendance results from last year’s event look like being surpassed this year too.

Tomorrow marks the last day of the event which has already played host to many consumer electronic products this year, from various manufacturers. These include products from big name companies like Panasonic, Samsung and Sony. In an article at Cnet, a whole round-up of products which have been unveiled and announcements that have been made so far can be seen. These vary from prototypes and debutant products to promises of network security and pre-order launches.

One product that won’t be being showcased at IFA this year is Samsung’s 7.7” Galaxy Tab. the company is currently involved in a legal dispute across several continents with Apple, the maker of the most popular tablet on the market, the iPad. The device was set to be making an appearance until the courts ruled in favor of Apple, who suggested Samsung had copied their designs, and were forced to pull it out of the event.
