Leaked Best Buy document hints at iPhone 5 release date

By Updated on

The next iPhone is believed to be almost upon us, and Apple themselves via Tim Cook has hinted the handset will be something different this time round. When he spoke of the product transition he spoke of September, and so far no Apple press event has been announced. Many have speculated the iPhone 5 will be arriving in October to the public, and now a leaked Best Buy document hints at an iPhone 5 release date.

This is my next have been provided with some information and document that shows a Best Buy location has been scheduled to have an ‘Apple fixture’. This is down to be installed on Friday October 21st, and is not far from previous speculation the iPhone 5 will be released mid-October. As we get further into September with no news from Apple about an event, the likelihood of a launch in October grows.

We have reported before that Apple was rumored to be putting the iPhone 5 up for pre-order towards the end of this month with a launch in October. The source is claiming that this isn’t your normal Apple installation as a manager needs to be available from 6 a.m.; normally they turn up at 7 for inventory tasks.

This early start was used for when the iPhone 4 was released last year, so there is a good chance it may be for the iPhone 5. The same source is also claiming that Best Buy Mobile managers have an October 10th meeting penciled in to go through upcoming release dates. If the device does get reveled this month for an October release the managers will have plenty of time to plan for the release.

You always know that we getting nearer to a new iPhone as the web is flooded with images of alleged parts, and for the last two years prototypes have mysteriously been mislaid. Like any proposed leaks like this you have to take it with a pinch of salt, but that’s not to say it’s all not true a lot of it proves to be highly accurate.

Will you be getting the iPhone 5 no matter what specifications it has?

Misleading title. After reading the title one would have thought an exact DATE would have been mentioned. Instead all I am left with is the same dance and dance of sometime in October. Nothing new new here, move along!
