Towards the beginning of the month we offered details on a strategy guide for Gears of War 3, now we thought we would follow that up with 5 essentials of the game. With the game set to be with us on September 20th fans of the franchise will want to know what makes the game so special that you will want to purchase the latest version.
The latest incarnation of the game has some amazing new features that are aimed at giving the player a much better experience with the story of the game, and all of its different modes. The first thing that gamers will love about Gears of War 3 is the story, which is set a year and a half after the previous game; things have changed a lot since then.
The Gears do not have the freedom of movement like they once did, as they know longer have support due to the collapse of the government. They do not have the privileges that they once enjoyed, so makes their job much harder, as they cannot access the sort of resources that soldiers need to get a job done.
This will make the game much better, as things are much tougher than they ever were, so you have to use your skill to complete missions. Having an easy ride like the Gears used to have would often make the make a little short and predictable, so this new twist will give you more excitement and will certainly last much longer.
The second feature that makes the third incarnation of Gears of War even better this time round is the new Horde Mode 2.0, as it offers a much greater depth. These have always been very similar, so nice to see that Epic Games has added a “more dynamic affair,” as MMGN puts it. The outcome of a game is no longer set on any one thing; it will change depending on the actions of you as a player.
Thirdly there is the four-player co-op, which is double what it was in Gears of War 2. The pace will be far greater, which certainly seems to be a theme for the new game and has shown just how much this game has evolved.
The fourth new essential feature of the new version of the franchise is the experience and the new characters. They will not all be doing the same thing, and will split up and take on different campaigns. Finally one of the best features has to be the inclusion of the first playable female character. Which of these features are you looking forward to the most?
