If you can’t wait to play Modern Warfare 3 and its multiplayer game modes we have some huge news for you which was recently revealed by Infinity Ward’s creative strategist, Robert Bowling (FourZeroTwo), has let some juicy details slip regarding how weapons will be unlocked.
As you would expect full details are not known, but we do know that there will be no currency in MW3’s multiplayer, this means people will not buy weapons and upgrades like they did in Black Ops, this was revealed when a Twitter user by the name of ‘TTG_Skooshbag’ asked FourZeroTwo this “is the MP upgrades going to be unlocked in the same manner. ie money for kills similar to BlackOps CP?”. Below we have quoted FourZeroTwo’s response (you can see the tweet here):
No sir, MP has a completely unique unlock and rank system. No currency in Multiplayer. #MW3
As you can see we can expect MW3’s multiplayer to feature a “completely unique unlock and rank system”, we can’t wait to see what Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward have up their sleeves with this one as “completely unique” is not a phrase which we see to often when talking about Call of Duty’s multiplayer. We don’t have a clue what this will be, therefore feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments section at the end of this post.
FourZeroTwo has also said the following on Twitter (the tweet can be seen here):
In Multiplayer, its all about you and your gun, plus explosives have been lowered in damage and new anti-explosive equipment added.
The above is promising because ‘noob tubing’ was a massive problem in Modern Warfare 2, so it is good to see that such weapons won’t be as deadly this time around – it looks like Infinity Ward actually listened to feedback from MW2 and took it into this title. FourZeroTwo also mentioned anti-explosive equipment in this tweet, previously we have seen perks like Flak Jacket help out when it comes to explosives, but we can’t recall any equipment which does a similar thing – can you?
So there you have it folks Modern Warfare 3 will feature no currency, a completely unique unlock and rank system, lower damage from explosives and new anti-explosive equipment – do you like the sound of all of this?
