Best iPad 3 concept designs

The current iPad 2 has been available since March, so came as a surprise to us when rumors started to circulate that the iPad 3 would also be released this year. We have since learned that this could either be an iPad 2 Plus or HD version. However, that has not stopped some smart individuals coming up with what we believe to be the best iPad 3 concept designs.

The first is from MacMagazine; their concept is from the same guy who offered up what he believes to be the next iPhone 5. The iPad 3 concept is even thinner than the current version and also offers a 5-megapixel camera with an LED flash. There is to also be a Retina display and high-stereo speakers. The rear looks very different to the current model, as it will have a curved design made from glass. Not too sure on that one, seeing as though the iPhone 5 might return to a metal back.

Next up is from Concept Mobiles, and from what we see the third-generation iPad could cause even more issues for its rivals. Running things is expected to be the A6 processor, but we are uncertain as to its speed – but we would expect a 1.5GHz dual core CPU at least. As for the display, it will be much more than Retina, as it could come with a 3D Visual Display instead.

If there is one company that turns a market on its head, then it is Apple. This does make us wonder if a future iPad will go down the same route as this PSP 2 concept? This is said to offer a flexible OLED display that can be rolled away, but when needed can be rolled out and then become stiff. Sending an electrical down the display does this, and you will see by these images that there will hardly be any bezel.

At the beginning of last month we discussed how the future of the MacBook Air could be in doubt with the release of the iPad 3, because it will be much more powerful than the current version. Before long Apple’s tablet devices will be able to utilize more performance than it currently does, although using programs in the Cloud will be geared more towards tablets and smartphones, so could affect other Apple products.

We cannot say for certain when Apple will release the iPad 3 and what specs it will have, as we do not even have spec details for the iPhone 5, which is just round the corner.
