Ever since the NCAA Football 12 game was first released a few weeks ago, gamers have been experiencing a number of different issues. However, it looks as though the developer and publisher have now addressed the reported problems, as EA Sports has just revealed details for the upcoming patch, which is due to arrive by the end of this month.
As pastapadre over on the pastapadre.com website recently noted, the upcoming patch’s main intention is to fix the reported issues, rather than providing improvements to the actual gameplay. One such issue that has now been resolved with the update is the one that led to a number of problems when using the game’s Custom Playbooks.
Not only has the update fixed the missing play issue; players won’t be required to recreate their playbooks either. The update has also added the ability to edit both the weight and height of players. In addition, it’s also provided an option to edit the rosters of CPU-controlled teams. The commissioner in an Online Dynasty will also be able to change the rosters of other human controlled teams.
Another bug that’s now been fixed is the issue with the profanity filter, which prevented many common names from being entered. This of course means that any name can now be entered for offline use. A profanity filter will be applied to Online Dynasty once the Dynasty is created. Players can opt out of the filter if they prefer to, by setting the Dynasty to Private.
A major focus of the upcoming patch was to address any crashes or freezes that were occurring in the game, including a crash that occurred when there were multiple TeamBuilder teams in an Online Dynasty. Another crash that has now been resolved is the one that happened while players were downloading an Online Dynasty file.
The upcoming update has also increased the acceleration of OB’s on Speed Option plays, as well as improved WR blocking (especially on option plays). Once players have downloaded the new update, they should no longer experience the issue where their online stats would not display promptly on the Online Leaderboards.
Other issues that should now be resolved include the one where the Unlock All Promises PDLC would not unlock properly on the Dynasty website, the problem in Online Dynasty where injured players would not remain injured when the week advanced, and the issue that sometimes prevented Dynasties from advancing to the post season.
