Are you pumped up for the upcoming release of Battlefield 3? If so, we have some important information for those of you planning to pick up the PC version of the game with regards to how to obtain a free beta key for the multiplayer portion of the game.

If you happen to own a limited edition copy of Medal of Honor, then you won’t need to worry about your passage into the BF3 beta, as EA promised buyers of the limited edition a key for Battlefield 3. For everyone else though, EA has now revealed another way to get into the beta, as reported from VG247.

It’s pretty straight forward too, as if you pre-order your copy of Battlefield 3 on the PC from EA’s digital distribution store Origin, you’ll be given a key to participate in the PC beta which we expect will commence sometime in September.

If you are planning to buy the Xbox 360 or PS3 version of the game, don’t panic as details of how to get a beta key for your respective console will be coming soon. We’ll be the first to let you know once EA decide to release the information, but we imagine it will be a similar scenario of just pre-ordering either the Xbox 360 or PS3 version of the game from the Origin store.

We bet most of you are wishing you had picked up the limited edition version of Medal Honor, but we expect there to be various ways to get into the beta though, so keep your eyes open for any offers. The game itself is not due out until October 25th, but we’ll be able to bring you our own hands-on preview of the game at the end of September, since it will be playable at the upcoming Eurogamer Expo in London which we’ll be travelling down to see.

How many of you have already acquired a beta code for Battlefield 3?
