If ‘Dawn of the Dead,’ zombie-filled themes are your sort of flavour, then get a load of what House of the Dead: OVERKILL – the Extended Cut has in store for you. Included are brand new blood-filled levels that combine a strip club with the streets of Bayou City and a bar. Together, they are calling these two brand new exclusive levels Naked Terror.
SEGA first announced House of the Dead: OVERKILL just before E3 this year, and as you can tell, they are quite excited to bring the first House of the Dead game on to a HD console, with the PS3 getting that honorary title to add to their collection.
Naked Terror will see you start by fighting through a strip club, so as you can imagine, you can relive some of your favourite Dawn of the Dead type moments within a computer game. You even get a stripper friend called Candy who helps you smash your way through the stripper and biker mutants who try and feed on your flesh. It’s a hard life, huh?
You get to play the part of Varla, an NPC who originally came to be in the orginal Overkill, with other playable characters – G and Wash – elsewhere for the time being.
But for those of you who think that Candy is just a silly little stripper with no heart, and useless with a zombie-slaughtering weapon, think again. She is apparently “pretty handy with a hand cannon and skilfully adept at taking down enemies.”
Candy also has her own side-story attached too. According to the official PlayStation Blog, the stripper has connections with a character called Jasper, who was the boss at the end of the Plantation level. She previously worked as a hospital volunteer, and met Jasper when a certain romance developed but it is more complicated as it sounds. Jasper is Varla’s brother, but we will have to wait for more on this story when the game finally gets a release on October 28 for PlayStation 3.
The PS3 Move Motion Controller is also supported by House of the Dead: OVERKILL, and you can also use that new 3D TV mode too. You can find out more information regarding House of the Dead: OVERKILL via the PS Blog here and here where you can also download some exclusive PC desktop wallpapers.
