Consumers like to have a white version of a device, with many sitting tight and waiting ages for the white iPhone 4 to become available. While consumers in the US wait patiently for Samsungs new smartphone to become available, we have news that a white 16 GB Samsung Galaxy S II is coming next month in the UK.

Online retailer Clove has put up a pre-order page for the device with a release date of August 15th. The device will be available for £492 including the dreaded VAT, and comes quickly after the original model was launched something which Apple could learn from. According to TechRadar the front plate and home button will be the new color, along with the back of the device as well.

The handset has proven to be a highly successful device since it was first launched, and became Samsung’s fastest selling device ever. It looks like the handset is nearing release in the US across the major carriers. Only yesterday we told you that AT&T could be getting two versions of the device, with one having a slide out QWERTY keyboard.

The original Galaxy handset was hugely successful, but its replacement looks like being a huge Android rival to the iPhone. Owners of the Galaxy S II have mainly given great feedback from owning the device.

According to the listing for the white version of the device over at Clove it still has all the same features of the black version. It has the impressive 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED, and a 1.2 GHz dual-core Exynos processor amongst its features. It is also super slim at only 8.49 mm with a weight of 116g.

For your money besides the handset you get a mains charger, MicroUSB cable, 3.5 mm stereo headset, and a quick start guide. It remains to be seen if the white version quickly follows the standard color in the US. It took Apple around ten months to bring out a white version of the iPhone 4, with some wondering if would ever happen.
