Since the iPad was first released last year the device has allowed developers to bring out some great applications to fully utilize the nice big screen. Today we are looking at some great board games for the iPad via applications.
Board Games – All in One 1.1 is a complete collection of games in one application. Games which are included in the app are Chess, Backgammon, Checkers, Tic Tac Toe, Peg Solitaire, and much more. A great feature of the app is that you and your family can play with your own rules; and one to six players can enjoy the application. A new game which has only recently been released is Scotland Yard 1.0. This game has been specifically designed for the iPad, and is a classic hidden information game. The game can be as complicated or as simple as users want it to be, and they can either be a detective or elusive Mr. X. The game encourages teamwork with up to six players can take part.
For detectives it is a deduction game or for players being Mr. X it’s a game of strategy. Highlights of the game include playing against another human or the UI, suitable for children and adults, multi-player mode allows playing on different devices via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The all time classic Monopoly is available for owners of the iPad in the US. You can play with all your friends and family, and even make your own house rules. The application is available for only $0.99, and for more information and to download visit the App Store.
Another classic board game available is Scrabble for iPad 1.10.70. This application lets users enjoy the game they know and love but in stunning HD graphics. Users can play up to 25 multiplayer games at a time and in either portrait or landscape modes. There is even a Party Play Mode which allows up to four people at once to play.
You can challenge your friends via Facebook, and a Teacher feature lets users see the best word choice from their previous move. This classic game can be yours via the App Store for only $0.99. iOS 3.2 or later required.
