Some of the big handsets of 2011 are already here, and those that are not we already know so much about. So you can imagine that when something new comes along there will be a frenzy, and this next one is proof of that. We have an update for you regarding an upcoming Windows Phone, as we have just learned that the HTC Eternity photos have been outed.
A few other details have also been leaked, and it seems that the Mango update is needed on the handsets release date in order for the front camera to work. Some of you might have already known some of the specs, but let us just refresh your memory a little shall we. This first thing that came as a surprise was its single-core 1.5GHz processor.
HTC seems to be following the single-core trend and not fully embracing the dual-core way. There has to be a good reason for this, we just do not know why? The first thing that you will notice though is that large 4.7-inch WVGA Super LCD screen, which could be the reason why the phone maker has called the handset Eternity?
The 8-megapixel camera seems to be the staple dies of any handset coming to market now – even the iPhone 5 is rumored to be getting it. Then there is that 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, which needs to have Mango in order for the user to be able to use it. We would really like to know if that 1,650mAh battery will have enough stamina to make that large screen last the entire day under normal conditions?
Now we cannot say for certain if the photo on HTCInside is the real deal, but no doubt HTC will offer us something soon, especially when the handset is said to be released some time in the fall. Just hope that it will not be with Apple’s new iPhone or that Samsung Galaxy S II+ that we have been talking about.
HTC needs to do their homework on this one, and don’t kill it off before it has a chance. They need to launch at least in August, if not then maybe October, that way they will have a month either way of when those two big handsets might make it to market.
We seem to know so much about the phone, but in reality we know very little. We cannot say for certain how well it will perform, how heavy the device will be and the most important, how much it will cost.
