Are you thinking about upgrading your current PC monitor for a more energy-efficient model? If you are, then we have news that you won’t want to miss out on. NEC has just unveiled its new MultiSync EX231Wp-BK LED-backlit monitor, which comes with a number of energy-efficiency features.
As noted over on the findtechnologynews.com website, the NEC MultiSync EX231Wp-BK monitor comes with a 23-inch LED-backlit display that supports a full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution using a PVA panel, 178 degree horizontal / vertical viewing angles and a contrast ration of 3000:1.

The MultiSync EX231Wp-BK monitor uses less power, generates less heat and uses recycled plastics in its design. It also uses less packaging for its lighter-weight design, doesn’t use any hazardous materials and comes with touch-sensitive OSD controls in its bezel to allow users to manually adjust the settings.
It also comes with both human and ambient light sensors that not only detects the local lighting and adjusts the monitor’s brightness accordingly, but also detects when the user is not there and dims in order to save power. The product also features a quick-release stand with pivot, tilt, height and swivel adjustments.
In terms of connectivity, the MultiSync EX231Wp-BK comes with VGA and DVI-I inputs, as well as DisplayPort and DVI-I output. The monitor is expected to retail for around $319, and ships with a 15-pin D-sub to DVI-A adaptor as well as a DVI and USB cable.
