Every day people from all over the world are becoming the unfortunate victims of one scam or another, whether it is over the Internet or face to face. However, there is now a way you can avoid being scammed thanks to the newly released Scam Detector app for iOS devices.
As noted over on the prweb.com website, the new Scam Detector application – which is available in both a paid ($1.99) and free version – reveals in details more than 350 of the world’s most common scams, which are all separated into nine different categories.
These categories include telephone, face-to-face, travel, Internet and auto. These are then broken down into five different areas including financial, housing, online auctions, employment and social networking. Users are able to easily navigate through the menus, while learning about the different scams.
They can also launch the search feature, which is optimized to find words within the descriptions of the scams. For example, if a user was approached by someone telling them that they can earn more money working from home, they can simply type in a specific keyword and the app will find all scams related.
Do you think that the Scam Detector app is a good idea? Have you downloaded it yet? If so, feel free to let us know your thoughts on it.
