It wasn’t just the much-speculated Nintendo Wii U console – previously known as the Wii 2 / Project Café – which the company officially announced during their E3 2011 press conference last week, as they also unveiled a list of games that we can expect to arrive on the new system.
We have some good news now for those of you that are interested in buying the Nintendo Wii U console, as Thomas Worthington from the gamerzines.com website reports that Katsuhiro Harada – chief game director – has recently revealed more details for the upcoming Tekken Wii U game.
Harada explained how the players will be able to use the Wii U’s touchscreen controller in order to have a personal viewpoint of the battle, while spectators sit and watch the fight taking place on the television screen. The Wii U controller is also used to play the game’s Practice Mode.
One rather interesting new feature, which some of you may have already seen from the E3 2011 footage, is the ability for players to draw on their opponent. Once a player wins a match, they are given the opportunity to tag their opponent’s face with a doodle, which may not disappear for a year.
The Tekken Wii U game will also come with a Stage Editor, which allows players to create unique obstacles to test other gamers. Players also have the ability to build up a list of people they consider rivals, whose names can then be crossed out via the touchscreen once they have been beaten.
