Recently we told you that the firmware update for Nintendo 3DS will allow users to transfer their DSiware games to the 3DS after the update had been set in place, however there have been many reports about the update being slow, and the transfer process of games being difficult. We have embedded a video at the end of this process which shows the entire process.
In order to transfer DSi games to 3DS, you need to first make sure your wireless connection is activated. Open the DSi transfer tool and accept the terms and conditions, once you have confirmed the next stage, your DSi should begin to look for your 3DS.
Then in the settings menu on your 3DS, you should find the button that says “System Transfer” and once this has been clicked, the two consoles should start looking for each other until they have found one another. Once found, two buttons should appear on the 3DS, one reading 3DS and the other reading DSi. You want to click DSi and then continue through a few menus which ask pretty straight forward questions.
On your DSi now there should be a new screen asking which 3DS you want to send to, and presuming that your 3DS is the only local one it should show up. Click your 3DS on the DSi screen and then go to your 3DS to confirm the transfer. On your DSi now, you can select all the things that you wish to transfer.
It took website Vooks.net an hour to transfer 34 DSiWare titles and some people have experienced problems with their machines finding each other. If this happens it is probably best to contact Nintendo themselves for some additional help. Until then, tell us how you get on with your transfers. If you need more help, watch the video below.
