If you own a PS3 or Xbox 360 and you enjoy playing co-op action games, then we have news that you probably won’t want to miss out on. Insomniac Games boss Ted Price was interviewed by Eurogamer at the E3 2011 event recently, to find out a bit more about the upcoming Overstrike game.

As Wesley Yin-Poole over at eurogamer.net reports, Price revealed a number of details about the much-anticipated four-player co-op action title. For example, when asked about the game’s characters, Price said there will be a thief, a reformed mercenary, a young scientist and an ex-detective.

When it came to a launch date however, Price simply said that the developer hasn’t confirmed a release date as of yet. Another interesting question that was asked was why there would not be a PC version, which Price said was because they are focusing on a console audience.

In terms of why the game is titled Overstrike, Price explained that the organization that is responsible for the agents in the game is called Overstrike, and the team itself is named Overstrike 9. The team don’t exactly run missions the traditional way, and unfortunately leave behind a lot of collateral damage.

Unfortunately that is the only details that were revealed at this stage, but Insomniac Games is sure to reveal more at a later date. You can view a trailer for the game over on the eurogamer.net website. Do you think you will buy the Overstrike game?
