User preference: Google Plus One, Facebook Like and Twitter Follow

By Updated on

When it comes to choosing a social sharing tool it all comes down to user preference. Google Plus One, Facebook Like and Twitter Follow all do the same thing at the end of the day, and that is to engage with users on the Internet. Some people have their favorite because that is all they are signed up for, whereas others would rather see who offers the greater service.

The newest of the lot is Google Plus One, and you get to +1 a website if you feel that it offers a service that will appeal to your friends or other contacts. The search engine giant believes that this is what users want, but it is still too early to tell if this will be a hit or not. One thing we do know, this will affect the search results. Use the Google +1 button on Product Reviews.

Next up is Facebook Like, and lets you share content with your friends – seems like Google has been doing a little copying here. If you Like a story that will then appear on one of your friends News Feed along with a link to that story. Not worth going in to more detail, as over 500 million Facebook users proves that they know all about this. Why not Facebook Like PR News.

Finally we have Twitter Follow, which for us seems to be the one that has been taking over the Internet. Whenever we hear of anything it seems to break on Twitter first, or is spread by the micro-blogging website faster than any other form of communication. It is for this reason why Twitter Follow has proved so popular. Follow us on Twitter.
