Can Sony’s PS Vita compete with new Nintendo 3DS games list?

Aside from unveiling the brand new Wii U console at E3 2011, Nintendo also reserved a key portion of their press conference to inform the world of the current software plans for the 3DS handheld system. We have a list of new games to show you now, as well as a teaser trailer showing brand new gameplay.

Most of you are looking forward to the release of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D next week starting from June 19th, but after E3 there’s probably a lot of other 3DS games that you’re looking forward to.

Upcoming new games unveiled at E3 include Super Mario 3DS, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 3DS, Luigis Mansion 2, Star Fox 64 3D and Kid Icarus: Uprising. These are all developed by Nintendo of course, but there were far more titles on the way from third-party publishers.

These include Resident Evil Mercenaries (which you already knew about), Mario and Sonic at the 2012 Olympics, Ace Combat 3D, Tetris, Cave Story 3D, Resident Evil Revelations, Driver Renegade, Pacman & Galaga Dimensions, Tekken 3D and finally Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D which you also already know is coming.

That is a pretty strong lineup of both first party and third party titles you would have to agree. The big question is though, will the Sony PS Vita be able to compete with this or does Nintendo have the upper hand? We’ll be studying this aspect in greater detail soon. Check out the trailer below and then let us know your thoughts the new games on the way for the 3DS.

Ye I am pretty sure PS Vita can compete with the 3DS. And still Sony did not tell everything about the PSV. There is a lot to come. I am actually excited what kind of formats all the PSV would be supporting.
Stuff i hope that PSV will be supporting:
    -Divx
    -YouTube
-Better browser e.g Opera or FireFox

I’ve heard you can get some Android games/apps, I reckon YouTube and Opera are sorted. However, don’t know about DivX… Hope so though!

I’m disappointed at the 3ds not having Flash or HTML 5. No Youtube for me….

Personally, I believe that the 3ds will do fine against this opposition. Smash Bros will be coming to it, so that will be hard for the Vita to beat the 3ds, but it will be good competition.

The price choice of the Vita was a sort of a smart choice. I say sort of because the Vita might lose money (I don’t know the exact price of the parts and shipping or other prices included). Good choice due to competing price with 3ds. Nintendo will probably lower the 3ds price before the NGP (Vita isn’t the best name [Wii U wasn't either, just to be fair {I'm a Nintendo fan, btw}]) is released. Good competition brings higher quality and lower prices.

Im not a taking any sides on this because i think both handhelds are amazing in der own way but with titles like RE and tekken Driver and MGS there’s only a matter of time before it vita gets it as for the name its not as bad as i thought it would be…the way i see the one that has the best features like online play and original games will take the lead just a bit
