Last month Microsoft’s Bill Gates commented on his company’s decision on buying Skype, and said it was a strategic move. But we have more worrying news for the company as there are reports of Skype going down again in some regions.
The service experienced problems only a couple of weeks ago with a major outage affecting millions of users. But as Dave Neal of The Inquirer is reporting some areas across the world are having problems accessing the service again.
Skype have commented via Twitter that only a few users are affected, but it seems the problem is far wider. Many users are taking to Twitter themselves to complain about the problems. Last time there was an outage Skype gave users a quick fix, but was too complicated for some users.
It’s not a good start for Microsoft experiencing two service outages shortly after taking over the service. More importantly users of Skype will be annoyed when trying to use the service to speak to friends and family.
Have you had any problems using Skype today in your region?
