It’s been extremely hectic the past 24 hours as the build up to two major technological events and the start of the events themselves has left copious amounts of content to bring to you the readers. The E3 conference has seen Microsoft announce several new additions to its offerings including Kinect Sports: Season Two.
Today we have another announcement involving the Xbox 360 as Microsoft reveals their new Wireless Speed Controller. This steering controller is more for those that prefer to have something to hold on to rather than using gestures with hand movements.
Despite its name the new device is not quite a full wheel, more like three quarters of one, allowing for action buttons and a directional set of buttons to be built into the handles of the wireless controller plus pretty green lights round the edges. It also features a rumble pack which will presumably vibrate on impact as a Dualshock 3 controller would and has triggers on the rear of the device.
This Xbox 360 companion is due out this this October and is expected to cost a fairly rational $60. If you’d like to know more about the Wireless Speed Controller head on over to Major Nelson where you will find an article about it as well as image links.
Will you be getting this new steering wheel?
