Mass Effect 3 release date disappoints, trailer doesn’t

By Updated on

Yesterday BioWare finally got to talk about Mass Effect 3 in detail, our previous post told you that there would be Kinect control support and voice command recognition, now we have a teaser trailer to show you and a release date to tell you about.

Let’s start with the release date, Mass Effect 3 will arrive on March 6th, 2012, unlike previous Mass Effect games it will hit all platforms on the same date, just to recap it is coming to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. We thought that it might arrive before this date, therefore lots of you have to keep yourself busy for nine months until it arrives, that’s presuming there are no delays.

We have embedded the teaser trailer at the end of this post, it debuted yesterday at E3 2011 and outlines the campaign’s plot, as you would have probably guessed earth is under attack by the Reapers and Shepherd must save the day, in the video you see some familiar London scenery which is being torn apart by the huge enemies.

E3 2011 attendees have been lucky enough to get some hands on time with Mass Effect 3, lots of videos are doing the rounds and we will be sure to post some gameplay footage later on, for now let us know if the March 6th, 2012, release date disappointed you? (Also remember to watch the video below).

Yes, the release date so late in 2012 is a little disappointing. But, with the release of ESV: Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Call of Duty, I think I’ll be able to keep myself occupied until March. Although, if I had a choice, I’d be playing Mass Effect 3 before anything else. Mass Effect is the best game series I’ve played, so it’ll be a bitter-sweet moment when Mass Effect 3 has come and gone.
