You’ve probably seen a lot of Elder Scrols V: Skyrim content throughout the last week or so, but Bethesda has saved the most exciting reveal of the game so far for E3 2011. The game was featured in a special gameplay preview last night, and we have the video for all those who didn’t get to see it.
As we keep saying about the game, Skyrim is looking fantastic, and this latest walkthrough justifies this once again. The gameplay comes courtesy of Bethesda’s Todd Howard who provides running commentary on the video provided by GameTrailers TV.
Once again, we get to see the sheer scope and size of the Skyrim world, with Howard seemingly confirming our previous rumors which suggested that Skyrim will feature around 300 hours of content. It gets better for fans, as he actually revealed that the team ‘had stopped counting’, suggesting that you’ll get a lot more than 300 hours with all of the quests and extras.
You’ll see new dragon shout powers in action, melee fighting both with one arm or both and also a look inside some of the game’s dungeons – there will be more than 150 according to Bethesda.
After watching this latest Skyrim preview, we’re going to put our backs on the line by stating that Elder Scrolls V could even top the popularity and success of Oblivion. Fans who played that game will know too well that it is one of the finest RPGs in history, but the way Skyrim is shaping up, its going to break all kinds of records.
Forget Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 coming out in November, the one game that should definitely be in your collection that month is Skyrim. The adventure kicks off on 11.11.11. Do you agree with us that Skyrim has the potential to be better than Oblivion?
